Extra Sappy
Oh, what fun it is to continue to brew these big, bold, double dry hopped, west coast style IPAs. Believe it or not, we still remember a time when beer drinkers moved away from this style, back in the extreme beer days of IBU wars and fusal higher alcohols and muddled malt bills with crystal malt. You’d crack a 22oz bomber and leave half the beer in the bottle, your tongue numb and your palate in ruins. But you know what? Brewers kept tinkering, and tasting, and listening, and experimenting, and over time this style evolved back towards that overused marketing word – drinkability. Yes, they’re excessive and assertive and take the word balance to the brink – intense in all the best ways. And we’re just stoked y’all keep drinking them faster than we can make them. This pine forward rendition is loaded with Citra, Idaho 7, and Columbus Cryo that might make you shed a single tear of joy upon first sip.
