Aren’t wet hop beers old by now? Umm, NO…We brewed this beer with only 2 days left in September with Experimental Hop 472 from Perrault Farms. According to the man himself, this is the first wet hop ever made with Hop 472 – in part because it’s a weird fucking hop, with notes of oak, vanilla, coconut, & cantellope. But it’s been a long strange Wet Hop Fall, so we said “Let’s do this” while also adding some Citra hops to keep that weirdness in check. With 7 trips to the Yakima Valley this past season, 8 different beers brewed, hops from 8 different farms, and 87 tacos consumed – it’s safe to say this season was no fool’s errand.
