That’s Haute IPA
This past harvest, we were privy to taste an IPA at the Haas Innovation Brewery with a new hop called BRU-1, grown exclusively at Brulotte farms in Toppenish. And IT. WAS. STRIKING. There were bright notes of ripe pineapple and papaya, with a touch of eucalyptus & green tea. It was fresh, it was cool, it was elegant, and it was modern. We HAD to have it. We NEEDED to have it. So we went full blown Donatella Versace on a few brokers…and then we got it. In peak fashion, we added some Citra to it, just to round it out. The end result is most vogueish – with notes of pineapple, watermelon, & white peach. Mmmm. That’s Haute.
